Event Description (About 250 Words): Haritima along with the inspiring Vani Murthy organized a successful workshop on the important topic of Low waste lifestyle. The main motive of this online workshop was to throw light on the art of sustainable living and how small steps made by individuals will lead to a better future. The workshop started with the introduction of Ms. Vani Murthy who is an environmentalist fondly known as Worm Rani. She then proceeded to elaborate on how we as citizens of this planet have the responsibility of keeping it clean and how we are failing to do so. All things done wrongly on our side be it pollution from large industries or the small packet that we may have littered along the roadside have an equal contribution in choking our planet. Many examples were stated Vani ma’am to further emphasis on the current problems our environment faces.
Vani ma’am then proceeded to tell us about many innovative techniques and ideas that can help us in keeping our surroundings clean and promote sustainability. These ideas were very creative and unique such as gift wrapping using newspapers etc.
The workshop concluded with an interactive question/answer session in which many members of Haritima participated actively and all of their doubts and queries were cleared by our honorable speaker. The workshop taught all of the attendees something new about sustainable development and it was an overall success.
