Event Name:- HaritKaksha 3.0 – A Journey Towards Environmental Awareness

Introduction HaritKaksha 3.0, a 45-day online environmental education initiative, was conducted for students of classes 6th to 8th with the objective of spreading awareness about environmental conservation. The program, which commenced on October 25 and concluded on December 8, was a collaborative effort involving school heads, coordinators, teachers, and technical/non-technical team members. The initiative aimed to educate students on various environmental issues and encourage them to adopt sustainable practices.

Program Structure and Key Highlights The online sessions covered a wide range of topics, including:

  • Biodiversity conservation
  • Environmental issues and challenges
  • Water scarcity and its implications
  • Waste management techniques
  • Global warming and climate change
  • Soil and noise pollution

To enhance engagement, interactive activity sessions were conducted every Wednesday. These activities provided students with a platform to showcase their creativity, reinforcing their learning through innovative and practical applications.

Assessment and Evaluation To gauge the effectiveness of the initiative, an assessment test was conducted at the end of the program via Google Forms. This test evaluated students’ understanding of environmental issues and their approaches to sustainability.

Field Visit and Certificate Distribution The culmination of HaritKaksha 3.0 was marked by an inspiring visit to Govt. Boys/Girls Sr. Sec. School No. 1, Roop Nagar, Delhi – 110007. During this visit, the organizing team had the opportunity to interact with the students and recognize their dedication to the cause of environmental conservation.

 Certificate Distribution: To acknowledge their participation and efforts, students were awarded certificates for their engagement and contributions.

The enthusiasm and commitment exhibited by the students serve as a beacon of hope for a greener and more sustainable future. Their proactive approach toward environmental preservation is a testament to the success of HaritKaksha 3.0.

Conclusion HaritKaksha 3.0 was more than just an educational program—it was a movement towards change. The initiative successfully instilled a sense of responsibility in young minds and empowered them with knowledge to make informed environmental choices. Through such programs, we aim to nurture future eco-warriors who will lead the way in sustainability and conservation efforts.
